   Nalco Holding Co. (Naperville, IL) and cleaning and sanitation giant Ecolab, Inc. (St. Paul, MN) have completed their merger, following the receipt of clearance from China’s antitrust authority, the last antitrust body from which such clearance was required. The shareholders of the two companies approved the merger on November 30. The combined companies, which are projecting sales totaling $11 billion for 2011, employ more than 38,000 people worldwide, providing water, hygiene, and energy technologies and services to the food, healthcare, industrial, and hospitality markets.
