   Xylem Inc. (White Plains, NY), the water equipment company newly spun off from ITT Corp., has reached an agreement with GE Water & Process Technologies under which Xylem will serve as GE’s partner in marketing membrane filtration products into the public utilities market. Under the terms of the non-exclusive agreement, Xylem will distribute GE’s line of ZeeWeed technologies in Portugal, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. In a release, Xylem said that the two companies intend to expand the relationship to additional countries in Europe, Asia, and Latin America sometime in the future. The ZeeWeed line includes microfiltration, ultrafiltration, and membrane bioreactor products.
